After a year of isolation throughout the covid-19 pandemic, it's fair to say everyone is ready to get out of the house and party.
So to all the brides and grooms out there planning their weddings in a post-2020 world...ALL EYES ARE ON YOU!
It is IMPERATIVE that your wedding playlist is up to par.
Your guests will have high expectations as they prepare to get off the couch, and make there way out to the dance floor. After all- they've been deprived of such an event for far to long!
The best way to achieve this is avoid playing all those overplayed (and overrated) songs that everyone and their mother is tired of hearing.
Instead, give them a refreshing new playlist that will have them crying, laughing and dancing the night away.
Let's be real.
This 2009 Black Eyed Peas classic is upbeat, fun, and always gets the crowd energized.
That being said, it is also obnoxiously overdone. Choosing this song for your grand entrance lacks originality.
We won't blame you for it, but it's a missed opportunity to do something different.
Instead, try using one of these equally entertaining, yet more unique choices instead:
Don't get us wrong, Ed Sheeran is an absolutely prolific.
His songs have all the makings of excellent, romantic, wedding ballads.
Because of this, everyone in the past five years or so has incorporated this music into their wedding at some point or another.
Avoid looking (and sounding) like every other couple and consider a few of these alternatives:
This song may take the cake as one of the most consistently overplayed wedding songs over the last decade. It's time for a change!
Try picking something meaningful and close to the heart, or use these options for inspiration.
Sure, it's funny.
We've even been known to drop remixes of it from time to time, and it's sure to get the message across.
That being said, playing this while the lights come up is overdone and unoriginal.
Try mixing it up and playing one of these other jams that sends the same message- and will make your guests smile!
And that's it! Tell your DJ to play some of these jams instead of that same old, boring and tired setlist she keeps on leaning on.
Or, if you are looking for a DJ yourself, reach out to our team to see if we are a good fit for your and your wedding!
